Frobisher Cottage

A cosy, mobility-friendly cottage in Southwold, set up with accessibility in mind by its owner, an occupational therapist. Two bedrooms (one king, one double) plus a single rollaway bed, a wet room shower with grab rails, a private entrance and a private garden. Pets are welcome. Southwold Pier and the Summer Theatre are both within about a 15-minute walk, and there's a log burner in the living room for cosy evenings in.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed, both upstairs. A single wheeled rollaway bed is available downstairs, so the cottage sleeps up to four, and the rollaway is handy for anyone who would rather not use the stairs. The bathroom is a wet room style shower with grab rails.

The living room has a log burner and TV, and there is a bright conservatory. The kitchen has a hob, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and air fryer, plus a washing machine, hairdryer and WiFi. Outside is a private garden with outdoor furniture, and free on-street parking nearby.

The owner is an occupational therapist and describes the cottage as accessible, mobility friendly and wheelchair accessible, with a private entrance and a wet room with grab rails in the shower. Everyone's needs are different, so please message us before booking and we'll happily answer any questions about access, doorways or layout.

Frobisher Cottage sits just off Sea View Road in Southwold, a much-loved Suffolk seaside town known for its colourful beach huts, lighthouse and independent shops. Southwold Pier is about a 16-minute walk and the Southwold Summer Theatre about 14 minutes on foot. Southwold Golf Club is around 0.7 miles away, and Southwold Museum and the Electric Picture Palace are close by too. The common and the seafront offer plenty of space for walks with your four-legged friends.

The nearest railway station is Halesworth, about 9 miles away on the East Suffolk line, with connections to Ipswich and onward trains to London. A car is handy for exploring the wider Suffolk coast.

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am, with a minimum stay of 3 nights. Up to three pets are welcome per stay, children are welcome (cots and extra beds are not provided), and there is no smoking or vaping inside.
