Sizewell B is the operating PWR station next to the Sizewell area construction site, with a steady ongoing demand for staff and contractor accommodation alongside a periodic outage spike. The stay needs differ from C in detail, smaller crews, more individual placements, and a meaningful proportion of returning visitors who want familiar accommodation.
We work with both groups. The same Leiston, Saxmundham and Wenhaston properties that serve C work equally well for B; the gate and the C site share a road and are within minutes of each other.
Leiston is the natural choice, closest to the gate, with everything you need in walking distance once you are home from shift. Saxmundham works for staff who want a station for weekend travel. Wenhaston and Halesworth suit longer placements where a quieter rural setting matters more than a couple of minutes shaved off the commute.
A meaningful share of our Sizewell B bookings are people who have stayed before and ask for the same property. We hold preferences on file and will quote a specific home where we can. For long-term staff this turns into a settled second home, the keys, the kitchen and the route to work all become familiar.
Our outage process (early provisional dates, crew houses, flexible date shifts) is the same for B as it is for C. Smaller crew sizes are common; we'll match the property to the headcount rather than overplace you in a house too big for the team.
